Cathy L. Mitchell, MBA, MSN, RN

Cathy is a Board Certified Registered Nurse in Michigan and Wisconsin. She began her nursing career in 1986, working at Sinai Grace Hospital as a nursing extern while completing her nursing degree at Mercy College of Detroit. Since that time, she has logged nearly 31 years of experience in various areas of patient care (critical care, home care, hospice care, psychiatric care, trauma care, ER, long term care, chronic case and disease management, acute care case management, ER case management, educator at the college and university levels, and nursing administration).

In addition to her extensive clinical experience, Cathy also has an outstanding academic background that includes a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a master’s degree in nursing, and a master’s degree in business administration. She is currently obtaining a doctorate degree in nursing (DNP) from the University of Detroit Mercy.  Cathy obtained her graduate degrees from the University of Detroit Mercy and Cornerstone University.

For many years Cathy has observed the barriers in health care.  Families are having a difficult time navigating the health care system and finding cost effective, competent, trustworthy and dependable resources to take care of their loved ones at home. It is difficult for working families to provide the level of care needed for their loved ones in the home.

Cathy has a unique combination of strong nursing skills and strives to inform patients and their families, strives to assist patients and their families navigate the complex health care system. Cathy also strives to provide the best care possible, in the patient’s own environment…………. their home.  Cathy’s goal is to also educate and empower the patient and their family, so that they can gain knowledge, become independent, and learn skills to become self-sufficient. Her mission is to provide high quality service at a cost that is affordable to everyone.

Cathy believes in building long lasting, trusting relationships with patients, families and other customers.  Customer service is priority! Cathy’s goal is to acquire a comprehensive evaluation of every patient and or family need by taking the time to listen and understand their needs.  Her goal is positive, rewarding, experiences for everyone.
